COMMUNICATION

One inbox should not mean one identity.

A solo business can have several email addresses. The important part is keeping the right context when the conversations come together.

The problem is the switching

A project address, a personal professional account and a company mailbox can all be useful. Switching between them to find one conversation is less useful. A unified inbox should bring the work together without making you guess which address you are using.

Make the mailbox obvious

In OhFellow, the mailbox belongs with the message. It is visible when reading and when composing. Before sending, you choose the address. A reply should come from the mailbox that received the message, not whichever account happens to be convenient.

Organise across accounts

OhFellow labels are local to your workspace. A label for a project can bring relevant messages from several connected accounts into one view, without having to recreate that label in every provider. Search also helps when the only thing you remember is a phrase in the message.

A fresh start, not a history import

A mailbox starts from its connection time. Earlier email remains with the provider. That makes OhFellow a place for the work ahead, rather than a demand to organise every message you have ever received. It is an everyday mail workspace, not a bulk outreach platform.
