THE ORIGIN
I didn’t need another tool. I needed the work to connect.
OhFellow began with a familiar kind of day: useful work interrupted by the small jobs needed to keep a business running.
The work around the work
A client asks a question in one inbox. The quote lives somewhere else. A company number is in a document you cannot quite remember. A payment appears in a bank statement, but the invoice is still waiting to be marked. None of these jobs is especially difficult. Together, they take the shape of a working day.
A product from experience
I built OhFellow because I know what it means to carry these details yourself. My work on FreeMalta and Gambity made that problem concrete: the creative work matters, but someone still has to remember the administration. I did not want another place to copy the same information. I wanted the connections between the steps to become simpler.
Small decisions matter
A recipient address visible before sending an invoice. Company details ready to copy. A matched bank movement that looks matched. These are not spectacular features in isolation. They are the moments where a product gives a little time back.
The principle I keep returning to
Remove the frictions. Not the responsibility, not the decisions, and not the need to understand your own business. Just the unnecessary switching, searching and retyping between them. OhFellow is built around that distinction.
